OUR BOYS IN BLUE
Our brave and breezy Boys in Blue! We bid you welcome back;
Australia’s Navy thrills us all with pride,
For old and young and sad and gay, we each and all love Jack,
Be he here at home or on the ocean wide
Were’er he goes – the Cocos Isles, or up there in Rabaoul,
Or Samoa, high ‘The Flag’ he flies aloft;
It’s all the same to jolly Jack, be weather fair or foul –
For he knows the job he’s taken isn’t soft.
Australia’s sons whose gallant sires with Drake and Nelson fought
And made old England mistress of the seas,
Guard well the prestige Britain by her noblest blood has bought –
Keep her flag aye floating in the southern breeze.
