22 January Saturday 1916
Received the diary today. also 2 papers 2 parcels and letters dated up to 22^nd Dec. from Clara.

23 January
A lovely day. we are still under guard and may be for a long time yet

24 January
One thing worth noting Was a chap returned from hospital and had to report to Dr Morris, where he was asked if he would be a loyalist or not. if he became other than desired he would be treated accordingly.

25 January
Wrote a letter to Clara… Passed Sardinia at 3 P.M  today

A lovely day. Am in the report for breaking camp to buy bread.
