The Men of Anzac
Morning melts into blazing day –
Hotter than hell then grows the fray
On, ever on! No stop or stay,
Know the dauntless men of Anzac.
Summer past! On the Lone Pine Plain
With reckless courage they fight again,
Bursting shrapnel and rifle’s rain
They scorn there – the Men of Anzac
High as heav’n they have built a name –
Crowned it with an eternal fame –
‘Australia’ land from whence they came
For ‘Our Boys’ are the Men of Anzac
