heavy shelling carried out on Bailleul, Dranoutre, Kemnel, & FLETRE Hostile aircraft very quiet. having too much to occupy their time on the other side of the Line. Left Robeck at 3.15 P.M a sudden move, only having 2 hours notice. Arrived at billets at Haudricourt at 8 PM. passing Bethune on road
16 March Saturday
Left Haudricourt at 9.15 AM not knowing where we were bound for on the way passed through coal fields of France eventually we billeted at 2.30 PM in Ohlain. & were then told to stand to as we were in reserve
17 March Sunday
Still standing to ready to move off at short notice good news of French successes & also that we had repulsed 21 Div of Bosches.
21 March Thursday
12THA.F.A Brigades Black day, having been shelled for the last 4 days 45 Bty lost 4 horses & 2 men wounded. 47TH Had 66 horses killed & wounded & several men. 112TH 42 horses killed & wounded 5 men killed 3 wounded We are still under movement orders for Sth.
24 March Sunday
Left Hall Farm Camp 3 kilos out of Bailleul at 9.30 AM. arrived at Roebeck at 5 PM. very tired thirsty & hungry. Turned in at 9 PM.

still at Roebeck everything going well
26 March Tuesday
Still resting at Roebeck no news of shifting good news from the Sth that Fritz has been repulsed and has suffered very heavy losses leaving us in a more advanced position than before.
27 March Wednesday
We are still receiving good news 100,000 has been reported as Fritzes casualties Received notice from G.O.C.R A wanting me to sign on in R.A.N for 7 years I declined to sign & applied for my discharge as a time expired man
