Arrived up at F.L.T. at 8AM.
2 OctoberÂ
had a lively night Fritz gave a machine gun display, and also had a few mortar bombs. had near shave being blown almost in the door
3 October
have been warned for F.L.T. tomorrow
4 October
at F.L.T. at 8 a m for a 24 hours run which I can assure you is a very rough time
5 October
very quiet left F.L.T. at 8 a m for Battery which is quite a home compared with F.L.T.
6 October
Nothing doing
7 October
All well went to F.L.T. at 8. a m for 24 hours run
8 October
left F L T 8 am after an exciting time
9 October
Wrote letters to Mother, Clara, Eric and E. Cunningham.

A very heavy frost being 2 deg below freezing point, spent a cold night as our winter gear had not arrived.
20 October
Had a better day for warm clothing as I received issue of rain cloak, gloves, underpants, singletes, and socks and rubber gun boots
21 October
3 morning of frost and can tell you it is very bitter.
