‘Highlighting diaries’ at the State Library of South Australia
The letters and diaries that we are using for this blog are all from the collection of the State Library of South Australia.
If you would like to find out more about the collections and get a sneak peek at some of the stories that will be shared through the blog, come along to the State Library for readings from diaries kept by nine South Australians on the battlefields of the First World War. Discover the humour and the spirit of the Anzacs in the face of the horrors of war. These diaries are now part of the State Library’s heritage collections. The event also includes a slideshow of images from the diaries, and photographs of people whose stories are included.
