Records of the South Australian Red Cross Information Bureau
The Red Cross Information Bureau opened in January 1916, and immediately began its work, helping the people of South Australia to find information about loved ones missing overseas.
The information gathered was meticulously documented, and kept in ‘packets’ which are now part of the collection of the State Library of South Australia. The full archive can be accessed online: https://sarcib.ww1.collections.slsa.sa.gov.au/
