ANZAC COVE
Still in the same position in section of Defence – (I E) between 12 on our R + 11th on our LEFT – During the period 1st to 20th June the enemy remained very quiet + (illeg), the enemy spending most of their time digging trenches we continue to
20/30 June
Nothing fresh to report tomorrow 1st July we are being relieved from trenches by 9th Battn
On Monday 28th June a demonstration was made by two Coys of 9th Battn on the Left + Right flanks of Brigade
The enemy fired at our trenches but with the exception of our machine guns, we did very little firing – On Tuesday night 29 + Wednesday 30th the enemy fired wildly at our trenches in the darkness – whilst a thunder storm was passing over but did no damage.
