Received telegram from Pt Pirie telling me there is a start for me there if I care about going also I have a job in view at Latus foundry at PT Adelaide at end of next week and decision to give to G.P.O. today through repatriation
received telegrams today having Mrs Lavis to go and board with also received, warrant from repatriation to travel to PT Pirie Am leaving tomorrow at 7.40 AM.
Left Adelaide at 7.40 AM arrived Pt Pirie at 4.8 PM secured job at J 7 R Forgans to start in the morning. got a place to live at
Had my first day at the trade for 4 years. got on fairly well better than I expected, The chaps here gave me a fair spin & helped me through
Received a letter from Clara today also wrote one to her, poor girl she feels it me going away again. Spent a miserable night at the pictures, got home at 11.10 PM. very tired & stiff.
Did not rise until 9 AM had a real lazy day wrote letters to Eric Aunt Olive & Mother went to bed at 9.30 P.M & read till 11.30. Had the life of Rasputin, & it was marvellous to see the intrigue which he used.
Have finished another successful day, & every thing going well, Have got over my stiffness. & feel A1 so can not complain.
had a downhearted day, as if some thing is wrong. My life seems all a muddle now nothing appears to go right. All seems up side down

received a letter which confirmed my anxiety for my love, for a more extraordinary letter I have never received in my life. Everything perplexing in the extreme. Wrote an answer & enclosed £5.0-0 for Clara to pay for Blankets & guilt.
